Things to do in Orlando

No matter what your interests are, there are always plenty of things to do in Orlando. Many visitors make the mistake of thinking Orlando is a one theme park town – well it’s more of a two-dozen theme park town.

Disney, of course, tops the list with a handful of their own parks, but there is also Universal Studios, Sea World, Gatorland and the Holy Land Experience to name a few. And if theme parks aren’t your thing, no big deal you could spend years finding things to do in Orlando without ever touching foot on themed soil.

There are hundreds of amazing dining experiences waiting to be tasted, from unreal dinner shows to memorabilia filled meals there’s so many things to do in Orlando.

Of course Orlando is also famous for their malls and wonderful shopping opportunities, offering visitors a chance to check out some of the best chain stores in the country or spend a quiet day exploring the antique row or clusters of tiny and unique shops.

There is a ton of things to do in Orlando for those with a taste for nightlife as well.

From house music to blues and jazz, Orlando is live with live music. The city is also home to oodles of bars from holes in the wall to upscale lounges, Orlando has something for everyone. Check out the Wall Street Plaza if you’re in for one of their famous and often impromptu street parties.

Many would be surprised to learn that the town most famous for a cartoon character and hopping nightlife also support a fairly robust cultural scene with nearly 50 different museums almost as varied as the city’s theme park attractions. Everything from sculpture gardens to restored vintage war planes can also be found if you’re looking for things to do in Orlando.

Finally, you can’t forget Orlando’s sport offerings. You can do everything from catch the Magic at an NBA game to checking out a half pipe at the Vans Skatepark - if you’re into something a little faster, try skydiving or learning to drive at one of the local race schools.
