Orlando Job

Good news if you are looking for an Orlando job – Governor Jeb Bush recently announced a drop in the state’s unemployment rate.

According to the governor, the unemployment rate dropped from 5.3 percent to 4.8 percent as the Orlando job market continued to expand.

By the end of 2003, the Orlando job market had expanded 19 months in a row, adding a total of 94,100 jobs from October 2002 to October 2003.

That means the state’s unemployment rate has been below the national rate of 6 percent for 20 months in a row. As of September 2003 Florida was still the leader in the country for total employment growth.

What’s that mean for you, it means more jobs and a higher probability for an Orlando job.

Orlando’s top ten private employers are: Walt Disney World, Adventist Health System, Publix, Universal Orlando, Orlando Regional Healthcare System, Wal*Mart, Winn-Dixie, Lockheed Martin, Marriott International, McDonald's.
