Orlando Hospital

Orlando is home to one of Florida’s most comprehensive private, not-for-profit healthcare network of hospitals in the state. The network of Orlando hospitals helps more than two million Floridians and 6,000 international visitors are annually. The network includes 12 Orlando hospitals throughout the Orlando area that have more than 1,500 beds.

The Orlando Regional Medical Center, the flagship of the health network, is the only Level I trauma center in Central Florida. There are only five other Level I trauma centers in the state.

This Orlando hospital has their own helicopter ambulance system and is one of Central Florida’s largest providers of intensive and progressive care services.

The trauma center was named a Florida Department of Health “Trauma Program of Excellence,” by meeting the rigorous state requirements and now serves as a role model for other trauma programs around the state.

This Orlando hospital was named one of “America’s Best Hospitals” in U.S. News & World Report’s 2002 edition of the survey.

The hospital ranked 25 in the nation for cardiac care and 46th in hormonal disorders.
