Orlando International Airport

The Orlando International Airport has scheduled non-stop service to more major destinations in the U.S. than most other airports in the country.

More than 28 million passengers traveling on more than 300,000 flights pass through the airport a year on average.

The Orlando International Airport is located about nine miles southeast of downtown Orlando, about 22 miles from Walt Disney World and 18 from Universal Orlando.

As soon as you arrive at the Orlando International Airport you’ll notice the open design and atmosphere of the terminal which incorporates skylight domes, glass walls and panoramic views of the surrounding lakes, islands and Florida flora.

The ultra-modern terminal sports 44 shops, 20 restaurants, six bars, a micro-brewery and a hotel in its terminal.

It’s a little known fact that the MCO initials for Orlando International Airport come from the name of the airport when it was the McCoy Air Force Base. The base was named after Colonel Michael N. W. McCoy.
